In recent years, more new electric skateboards have been introduced to the market. Electric skateboards are becoming more and more popular. The electronic board market is growing very fast, with new models emerging one after another. Large electric skateboards are big and heavy, making them uncomfortable to carry or even travel. The function of the mini electric skateboard will surprise you.
The mini skateboard is small but sturdy that can provide enough support. On city roads, mini boards are especially popular with young people. They not only have the portability of traditional skateboards, but people can also use them to play various tricks. The mini skateboard has batteries to provide enough power for walking and commuting.
Yecoo MT electric skateboard has recently come to the fore. This is a comfortable and powerful skateboard. Your feet settled into the space perfectly and allowed you to control the movements of the board easily. If you have never thought about buying yourself a great mini skateboard, then after completing this best mini skateboard review, you will get one of these exciting mini skateboards. It's one of my favorite short electric skateboards so far. In this review, I'll show you why I like it so much.
Pros & Cons of Yecoo MT Electric Skateboard
Pros
Great value for money
High speed up to 25mph
Perfect for commuting
Cons
The motor is not so powerful
Grip tape wears easily
At $499, the Yecoo MT electric skateboard is affordable for every skateboarder. With a top speed of 25mph, it's great for commuters. Of course, in my opinion, the motor power of the dual 540W is enough for commuting. But let us be clear, not everyone is satisfied with this. If you like to engrave on the board, the grip belt will be easily damaged. For normal commuting instead of crazy skateboarding, Yecoo MT electric skateboard can provide you with the ultimate experience.
Specs
The 33-inch Yecoo MT mini Electric skateboard is lightweight at just 8kg. One of the most important things about a short skateboard is portable, and MT meets. You can imagine carrying your MT skateboard anywhere in your backpack. It's cool to go anywhere.
The MT electric skateboard is 36V powered by a 540W*2 dual hub motor, that delivers speeds of up to 25mph, a range of 15 miles, and a 30% uphill climb. It now sells for $499, a very nice price in the market. There is no doubt that it is reasonable and friendly priced for anyone's budget. In addition, the components of Yecoo MT are of high quality and never disappoint. The wheels and truck are also sturdy, making the skateboard easy to operate. All in all, it's pretty easy for anyone to ride.
Deck
The deck of Yecoo MT electric skateboard is composed of 8 layers of maple, which gives the MT strong toughness and compressive strength. The deck has that whole surf vibe going on with the fishtail kick and an ever so slight concave. What is more, new grip tape design, perfectly streamlined deck and suitable board size. It should be noted that I accidentally knocked the board over while carving, the deck was hit by the marble steps, and the edge of the grip tape was scraped off, so it's not completely scratch-resistant. Other than that, everything is perfectly reflected on this board.
Wheels & Trucks
90*56mm 82A PU wheels, give you a new riding experience, it did a good job of providing sidewalk comfort. High-quality wheels can also be trusted to provide better shock absorption at high speeds. You can also take full control of the Yecoo MT electric skateboard's trucks. Their responses are predictable and accurate, so if you get a rough situation where you have to turn fast, you can be sure you can turn hard and get back to the center with ease. These trucks are perfect for hard and fast carving, and they are very easy to control. It really made me feel like I was surfing on the open road. It felt amazing.
Motors / ESC / Battery
The Yecoo MT electric skateboard runs dual 540W hub motors; the newly upgraded ESC is comparable to Hobbywing's; and uses the 7Ah Sanyo battery.
To be honest, the dual 540W motors are more than enough for an electric skateboard of this size. I tried a top speed of 23mph, but if I wanted to go faster, the board would probably wobble.
The battery comes in a 10S2P 36V configuration, so I wasn't skeptical when I saw that the MT had a prescribed range of 15 miles. In the second half of the article, I will report the real range of the test.
The battery comes in a 10S2P 36V configuration, so I wasn't skeptical when I saw that prescribed range of 15 miles. In the next part, I will tell you the real range of the test.
ESC can ensure the smooth running of dual-drive sine waves. Acceleration and braking are smooth, but it's not a slow curve either. It still picked up speed.
Remote
The remote control is fantastic. It's easy to grip and much more comfortable for people with bigger hands. Like other remote controls, the MT remote has speed mode, reverse and cruise control.
Note that in all four-speed modes (LO, MI, HI, PRO), HI and PRO have the same speed values. The difference is that they have different accelerations - PRO's accelerations are more intense.
One thing I have to mention, when I try to accelerate from rest, I get a strange shake just before it starts. You should be also careful when you ride, preferably from the lowest speed to accelerate.
Performance testing
As for performance, this is definitely the most important thing for an electric skateboard. I am really excited by the excellent performance test results of MT.
Range test
My first ride was 13 miles.
I weighed 80kg and spent most of my time floating at 21mph in speed mode 3. The road was mostly flat, but I did slow down as I crossed a side street.
The official range of Yecoo MT electric skateboard was 15 miles, this is the ideal range. I was impressed that my riding style and my weight allowed MT to carry me for 13 miles. Lighter and conservative riders shall easily reach the designated range.
I think they tested the range with a rider who weighed about 70 kilograms on a flat road, and at a more comfortable speed.
Top speed test
The Yecoo MT's spec sheet says a top speed of 40kph (25mph), but on the remote display, a number of 43km/h (26mph) appeared when you set the throttle to the maximum.
During the ride, I managed to reach 40km/h, which is a bit lower on the comparison chart. But I repeatedly hit 37 km/h easily, I thought maybe I never really maximized the throttle.
As mentioned above, the speed threshold displayed on the MT remote is the same on the HI and PRO, but the acceleration is different. So be sure to be safe if you want to challenge superspeed while riding.
Accelerated&Braking test
MT electric skateboard is very stable, when I brace myself, I never thought I would fall off. Of course, acceleration is also fast, you can reach its top speed in a matter of seconds.
If you are a beginner, make sure you have some good protective gear. The falls are inevitable. Please make sure you don't hurt yourself too badly, then you can get back up and continue riding.
The same goes for brakes. They will bring you to a complete stop within a safe distance, but they're not powerful enough to kick you forward, especially when you're ready. As I always say, the brakes are the only thing that stops you from going as fast as you want.
If you're in a built-up area with a lot of people around you, slow down, and be ready for someone to walk out in front of you. It happens all the time. Then, when you hit the wide road, let it rip......Within the limits of your local Eskate laws.
Climbing test
I was impressed by the Yecoo MT electric skateboard during my hill climbing test. It tackles most slopes with dedication and will pull you up at a steady rate, but won't power them.
Its average slope is 15%, with the steepest part about 30%. You need to accelerate when you go uphill. When it reaches a certain level, it will slow down slightly. Overall I am very satisfied with MT's climbing ability.
My feelings about Yecoo MT electric skateboard
Yecoo MT is ideal for skateboarders at each stage, a high-quality and safe electric board will easily come to your hands, it doesn't take much effort.
If you need an affordable e-skateboard for your commute or just something simple for quick and easy cruising, then it's a great addition to your current lineup.
All in all, I really like the Yecoo MT electric skateboard so much. This is a very cost-effective mini electric skateboard, which is obvious if you've ever used it.
